On February 1st, the ESL Institute at UTC will receive students from J.F. Oberlin University in Japan. In addition to completing intensive English classes, these Global Outreach students will participate in campus activities, community events, cross-cultural workshops, and more. They will share and reflect on their experiences by contributing to the ESL blog.

This semester, JFOBU students can look forward to volunteer service opportunities, a space simulation challenge, and trips to historic cultural centers. They may explore Chattanooga's natural surroundings or its vibrant urban districts. They may interact with American students, other international scholars, and longtime community members.

The ESL Institute wishes its newest students safe travels and welcomes them to the Scenic City!
