The Morning Seminar

In this section, write a paragraph of your reflections about the subject and information you learned in the morning seminar. Here are some questions to help you generate content:


1. What was the topic of today's seminar?
The topic was maples and pecans.
2. What were the main ideas/terms/definitions of the seminar?
The main topic was characteristics of the growth and production of nut trees.
3. Did you learn anything new from the seminar?
The pecan tree has a long and productive life.
4. What was the most interesting idea or concept that you learned today?
The settlers learned how to use the land’s natural resources from the Native Americans.
5. How will you use this information in the future?
Nature is very important for us. It is because nature makes us alive.

The Afternoon Project

In this section, write a paragraph about your afternoon project experience. Here are some questions to help you generate content:
1. What was the title of the afternoon project?
The title was Urban Gardening/Community Gardens.
2. Where did the afternoon project take place?
The project place was on the campus.
3. What was the purpose of the afternoon project?
The purpose was learning how to garden.
4. Who did you meet at the project location?
I met Dr. Jose Barbosa.
5. What did you learn from the project?
I learned how  difficult it is to grow plants.
6. What was the best part or most interesting aspect of the project?
I used a machine  to cultivate the field.
7. How will you apply what you learned during the project in the future?
I will be able to teach my children how to garden in the future.

I found that there is no difference in gardening between Japan and America.
