[US Immigrant Success Stories]

The Morning Seminar

In this section, write a paragraph of your reflections about the subject and information you learned in the morning seminar. Here are some questions to help you generate content:
1. What was the topic of today's seminar?
     Business people who came from other country to US.
2. What were the main ideas/terms/definitions of the seminar?
     How the people success on business.
3. Did you learn anything new from the seminar?
    I knew the reason why the person came to US to start business by interview.
4. What was the most interesting idea or concept that you learned today?
     He told me that “If I would come to US, I would get more opportunity.
5. How will you use this information in the future?
    Maybe I will come to US in the future on business.

The Afternoon Project

In this section, write a paragraph about your afternoon project experience. Here are some questions to help you generate content:
1. What was the title of the afternoon project?
    We went to an elementary school to eat for dinner and we made the dinner.
2. Where did the afternoon project take place?
    We went to an elementary school. I am not sure where it is.
3. What was the purpose of the afternoon project?
     We made Japanese foods and took them. Everyone in the place enjoyed dinner. That's why, I think that the purpose is to meet some people and to experience some kinds of meal.
4. Who did you meet at the project location?
    We met some people and ESL officers.
5. What did you learn from the project?
    I enjoyed some foods which some people made.
6. What was the best part or most interesting aspect of the project?
    "Okonomiyaki" was popular.
7. How will you apply what you learned during the project in the future?
    When I meet some people, I can make good relationship by feasting "Okonomiyaki".



 

Your Conclusion

Next, write a conclusion paragraph. Summarize the day's thoughts and activities. Here is a question to help you generate content:
1. What connections did you make between what you learned in the morning seminar and what you did in the afternoon project? Did you encounter, identify, or observe any cultural differences or exchanges?

      In Japan, general people work in Japan but we have way to work in foreign country.  In addition, working in US have more opportunity than working in Japan. That’s why, in the future, I may going back to US!!!
